Biddle-Gaumer Company
Exterior Lighting Fixtures, Catalogue No. 19
Biddle-Gaumer's catalogue No. 19 is a focused exterior-lighting reference rather than a general electrical book. It begins with bracket arms and globe holders, proceeds through Gothic, Colonial, and picturesque wall lanterns, then documents hanging lanterns and an extensive range of posts and standards.
The manufacturer's front matter says the fixtures could be furnished in iron, copper, or bronze and offered a service department for special designs based on plans or blueprints. Individual plates record dimensions and model numbers, making the catalog useful for separating a complete exterior fixture from a later marriage of lantern, bracket, and glass.
The title page gives the Philadelphia address, the company's 1882 establishment date, its 1890 incorporation, and a 1927 copyright date. The complete Avery Library scan contains 52 images and preserves an inserted price list.
