This standard fixture is 24" from ceiling to bottom of the shadeholder.  At the ceiling is a canopy that mounts to the modern standard electrial box..  It is hung with medium heavy chain.  The 2 1/4" shade holder (as shown) has a switched socket.  The optional 3 1/4" and 4 1/4" shade holders have un-switched ceramic sockets.  The drop of this stardard fixture can be configured from 10" to 36" from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade holder.  Click on image for full page on this fixture.  The price of this fixture is included in the price of a single drop shade or globe.

3 1/4" fitter to replace a 2 1/4" fitter on a  drop type fixture.  Swapped out at no addtional cost.
